President Obama first hearing about the Sandy Hook Shooting [PHOTO]

As the survivors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting got a fresh start Thursday by returning to class at a new school for the first time since the incident, the White House's Flicker account released a photo of President Barack Obama reacting to the tragic news on December 14. The photo was taken by White House photographer, Pete Souza and the caption reads,

"The President reacts as John Brennan briefs him on the details of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The President later said during a TV interview that this was the worst day of his Presidency."

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was the sixteenth mass shooting that took place in the United States in 2012, and it cost the lives of 26 people, 20 of them first graders.
