When Arizona mother Alicia Atkins underwent a C-section last October, her husband Randy captured this stunning photo of their baby daughter's little hand reaching out to grab the doctor's finger.

"The doctor called me over and said, ‘Hey, she's grabbing my finger.’ So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture," Randy told 3TV News.

Alicia posted the photo to her Glendale-based photography studio's Facebook page, where it has quickly garnered nearly 6,500 likes and nearly 3500 shares.

"This was 10 weeks ago when I was having my c-section and Dr. Sawyer broke my water and my daughter reached up out of my stomach and grabbed the Dr.'s finger and my hubby caught this special moment. Truly amazing," Atkins wrote of the photo.

Atkins told KTVK News that she was surprised by the positive reaction -- she thought most people would find the photo "disgusting." Atkins also said that anti-abortion organizations were interested in the image.
