The Brooklyn Nets' decision to fire head coach Avery Johnson -- the NBA's November coach of the month -- left many sports fans and analysts shaking their heads. But no one seemed more riled up than Johnson's son, Avery Jr., who took to Twitter to defend his father's honor.

Johnson Jr.'s series of angry tweets slammed the Nets and their "best players" for maintaining expectations that were "too high" and for giving up on a coach with only a 14-14 record.

Johnson Jr. also took a shot at the Nets' "best players." Nets point guard Deron Williams, the suspected impetus behind Johnson's firing, made a thinly veiled critique of his coach last week.
