After four days of silence, the National Rifle Association has finally released a statement on the mass shooting of 27 people, including 20 children, Friday.
People both for and against stricter gun control laws turned toward the NRA in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting that left 28 people dead in Newtown, Conn.
The powerful pro-gun lobby, which has fought against any restrictions on the regulation of gun ownership and usage, was silent in the days following the shooting, shutting down their Facebook and staying off Twitter.
Finally, Tuesday, they released the following statement:
