Chalk this up to things we never expected to see: 81-year-old Alan Simpson is so desperate for a solution to the coming fiscal cliff that he's willing to dance for it.

The former Republican Senator from Wyoming and the namesake of the bipartisan Bowles-Simpson commission has joined with "The Can Kicks Back" a campaign aimed at getting young Americans involved in pressuring Congress to find a bipartisan solution to the fiscal problems facing the country.

In a video for the campaign, Simpson encourages Millenials to "stop Instagramming your breakfast and tweeting your #firstworld problems..." to grow awareness for their efforts.
