"Joy to All": America's first family decorates the house for Christmas [PHOTOS]

The annual White House Christmas theme will be "Joy to All," with a focus on family, holiday traditions, military servicemen and women, and of course, First Dog Bo. The annual handout includes details on how the house was decorated for the holidays, a festive holiday recipe and holiday craft ideas.

Visiting the White House this Christmas?

As it is every year, the executive residence will be dressed up in its best seasonal attire, all to the theme "Joy to All."

The theme, according to the official handout, will celebrate "the many joys of the holiday season.
This year’s theme is a celebration of the traditional holiday festivities that fill our hearts with warmth and cheer, the joy of giving and service to others, the joy of sharing our blessings, and the joy of welcoming guests to our homes."

Each public room at the White House will be a different take on that theme. The official White House Christmas tree, which will be on display in the Blue Room, will feature ornaments decorated by children living on U.S. military bases worldwide.

Volunteers from all 50 states helped create the decorations along the visitor route, including the trimmings for the 54 live trees, decorative snowflakes, wreathes, topiary, and the 300 pound White House Gingerbread House.

Visitors will also receive the illustrated Joy to All holiday booklet and the "Bo bookmark," complete with a Bo-Ornament scavenger hunt.
