Jon Stewart, king of fake news and host of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, turns the big 5-0 Wednesday.

Appropriately, on the show preceding his birthday, he talked cake. In a classic take-down of absurd media coverage, Stewart rips apart the narrative surrounding Hostess's bankruptcy filing.

Throwing around a few low-brow puns and shredding news laziness by pointing out basic contradictions in reporting wouldn't be enough to earn a remarkable 10 consecutive Emmy awards for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.

Here are 10 classic moments (one for each Emmy!) of Jon Stewart doing what he does best.

1. Jon Stewart visits Crossfire

2. "Indecision 2000 - Graceful Acceptance" (December 13, 2000)

3. "Conservative Libertarian" (March 18, 2010)

4. "Jim Cramer Pt. 3" (March 12, 2009)

5. "Chaos on Bulls**t Mountain" (September 19, 2012)

6. "Mike Huckabee Pt. 2" (December 9, 2008)

7. "Childrens Do Learn" (September 27, 2007)

8. "Sarah Palin Gender Card" (September 3, 2008)

9. "Republican Conservatives Said What About Rape Now?" (October 25, 2012)

10. "Appholes" (April 28, 2010)
