It was only yesterday that CNN's Anderson Cooper was reflexively ducking rocket bombs on camera ("That was a rather large explosion," he said dryly afterward), but the intrepid anchor-correspondent somehow found the time to fire back at Twitter critics who questioned his reporting Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some of the sassiest retorts below:
Here's how he replied to Twitter user @retireleo, who identifies himself as a "retired police officer and retired USMC sergeant major."
@retireleo wow, tough words from an anon Internet troll. why not use your name and photo, coward? Have some more fritos and keep typing

And to @tammyrenasmith:
.@tammyrenasmith how come you have no idea what you are talking about? I covered #Benghazi attack extensively.

And @Rabbi_Sykes:
.@rabbi_sykes excuse me, but how am I apologizing for Hamas by reporting them dragging a body through the streets? That is deeply offensive

He also called out @Pamela_Weiss -- who doubted Cooper's fairness -- with a retort about her tweeting history. One Tumblr image summarizes the exchange:
Just for fun, here's what Cooper looks like in the middle of a war:
