Once upon a time in the 1990s, the super hit "U Can't Touch This" dominated the airwaves and dance floors, making the flamboyantly dressed MC Hammer an instant success and pop cultural figure. On Sunday night's American Music Awards, the iconic rapper joined his modern-day equivalent, Psy, K-pop's American success story and colorful internet meme, for a show closing performance of the Korean rapper's "Gangnam Style." Hammer appeared on stage in the middle of Psy's performance with the familiar refrain, "Stop, Hammertime," for a mashup of "Gangnam Style" and 1991's "2 Legit 2 Quit," a match made in rap sensation heaven.
