Chamillionaire tells Martha Raddatz to 'keep it gangsta' after VP debate

This might be the most adorable story to come about of Thursday night's vice presidential debate -- a reminder that in spite of partisan vitriol that usually accompanies election season, Americans can still bond over a collective love for catchy hip-hop from the mid-2000's.

In a cautionary tale to cell phone users before the debate began, Raddatz reminded audience members of a time when her phone went off at a White House press briefing, after her son had sneakily changed her ringtone to Chamillionaire's "Ridin.'" There's actually video proof of the incident, in which then-White House Press Secretary Tony Snow called out to her, "Play that funky music white girl!"

"I have never had my cell phone go off anywhere ever again," Raddatz told the debate attendees.
