Saint Laurent's new creative director, Hedi Slimane, put electronic music-makers Daft Punk in charge of the soundtrack to his debut collection at Paris Fashion Week. The result is a fantastic mix featuring the work of the late Mississippian blues musician, Junior Kimbrough.

You can stream the 15-minute track below, or check out Pitchfork's 9-minute video of the fashion show itself, accompanied by the Kimbrough's original "I Gotta Try You Girl."

In spite of a flawless music selection, Slimane's debut with YSL was not without controversy. When New York Times fashion critic, Cathy Horyn, bashed Slimane's runway show, the designer hit back with an open letter calling Horyn a "schoolyard bully" and a "publicist in disguise."
