These cast photos of Arrested Development will make your day

It's been six painful years since the Bluths were last on our televisions. Now "the wealthy family that lost it all" is almost back, and the cast photos are not to be missed.

Three seasons was never enough for fans of the hilariously dysfunctional family at the heart of Arrested Development, the Fox series canceled in 2006 and the target of revival attempts ever since.

Rumors of a new season and a movie in the works flew for years, until finally, the long awaited moment came to pass: on August 7, the entire main cast of the show began filming a fourth season. Ten episodes will air, all debuting together on Netflix sometime early next year, with a full-length movie to follow.

Practically up to the moment filming began (and probably past that) skeptical fans were worried they would get their hopes up only to see them brutally dashed. So the photos, taken by Art Streiber for the cover and spread in Entertainment Weekly's reunions issue, come as a relief.

“We all walked onto the set and we just sat around and stared at each other, and it was surreal,” Portia de Rossi told EW. “Everybody looked exactly the same and they acted exactly the same, both in character and in between takes. Body language was the same, the same old jokes, the same old eye rolls. It was really amazing.”

The Marie Antoinette/Eighteenth Century costumes and wigs (that probably are about as realistic as the Bluth model home) are a fun nod at the show's basic premise: this is a story of an obscenely wealthy, morally vacant family.
