UPDATE: Adele's "Skyfall," the soaring theme song for the upcoming 007 film, has just hit the web.

Recorded at Abbey Studios in London and slated for the opening credits of the next James Bond film, "Skyfall" couldn't get any more British. The 77-piece-orchestra theme has already hit the top of the iTunes chart.

Ever since Daniel Craig dropped in on the Olympics opening ceremonies with Queen Elizabeth, we've been excited about the next James Bond movie "Skyfall," and now we know what the opening credits will sound like.

Over the weekend, British singer Adele confirmed reports that she recorded the "Skyfall" theme song, posting a picture of the song credits to her Twitter page. A 90-second preview of the track, creatively titled "Skyfall," just leaked online.

Written by Adele and producer Paul Epworth, "Skyfall" opens with Adele's signature soulful crooning and moves along quietly until a dramatic orchestra joins in for the chorus.

As Vulture puts it, "It's an Adele song for a James Bond movie, so it's more or less what you were expecting."

The full track will debut this Friday, October 5.

Directed by Sam Mendes, "Skyfall" stars Craig as 007, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and the incomparable Dame Judi Dench. It's due to open in the U.S. November 9.
