Things couldn't really be this bad for Blackberry 10 could they?

At a BlackBerry developers conference on Tuesday, Research in Motion (RIM) staffers covered REO Speedwagon's "Keep on Loving You" in a music video message for the embattled smartphone's dejected employees.

The video features RIM's VP of developer relations, Alec Saunders, as lead vocals. He sings lyrics like, "And I meant every word I said when I said that our devs are the heart of our mobile endeavors."

The video description thanks developers "who are working hard" and "jumping on board every day:"

This video is a thank you to all developers supporting the BlackBerry platform. Your Developer Relations, Alliance and Developer Tools teams appreciate your enthusiasm and loyalty! We're Going To Keep On Loving You. Shown at BlackBerry Jam Americas Sept 2012.

According to ComputerWorld, RIM's stock is down 60 percent this year, and the video appears to be an attempt to reassure Blackberry developers that they're not on a sinking ship. But RIM CEO Thorstein Heins assured the event's attendees that Blackberry still boasts about 80 million users around the world.
