"Mandy Patinkin, holla," Claire Danes said as she accepted her award for Best Actress in a Drama at Sunday night's Emmy Awards.
Danes' unusual shout-out to her "Homeland" co-star Mandy Patinkin (aka Inigo Montoya) became such a hit on social media that the venerable pop cultural anthropologists over at Gawker have even deemed it "the new Angelina Jolie's leg."
The Twittersphere unleashed a barrage of responses to Danes' remark, with some calling out for the inevitable "Mandy Patinkin, holla" meme.
If the internet doesn't remix "Mandy Patinkin, holla" by tomorrow morning, it is a failure.

Big night for Homeland: Claire Danes wins, too. "Mandy Patinkin, hollla" is the best thank-you ever.

I suspect a lot of people 'holla' at Mandy Patinkin. And often.

My formal statement on all matters in the future is going to be "Mandy Patinkin, Holla!"

Amazon's MP3 Twitter feed holla'd at Mandy Patinkin with a link to Patinkin's musical pursuits for sale on their site:

Some users, however, couldn't help but notice that Danes' guttural pronunciation of the word "holla," made it sound a lot like the braided bread eaten on Jewish holidays.
I would totally eat Mandy Patankin Challa. gawker.com/5945734/mandy-…

When Claire Danes said "Holla" about Mandy Patinkin last night, I honestly thought it was a Jewish joke for a second... #puns

Did Claire just say "Mandy Patinkin, holla" or "Mandy Patinkin, challah"? #Emmys
