'Lincoln' director Steven Spielberg and actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt unveiled the first full look at the highly-anticipated biopic via Google+ Hangout session Thursday, just two days after a teaser trailer appeared online.

Partially based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's, "Team of Rivals," the film is chock full of recognizable faces. Sally Field plays Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd, Tommy Lee Jones plays Thaddeus Stevens and Gordon-Levitt plays Lincoln's son Robert Todd. "Mad Men's" Jared Harris will portray Ulysses S. Grant.

From the trailer, it looks like "Lincoln" will be classic Spielberg -- epic in scope, with high production values and sweeping battle scenes.

Here is the official synopsis:

Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

The film opens in limited release November 9 and everywhere on November 16.
