Behold, the 45-second teaser for Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" film. We get a brief glimpse of Oscar-winner Daniel Day-Lewis looking presidential as Abraham Lincoln while another character recites the Gettysburg Address.

Based in part on "A Team of Rivals," by historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, the film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Lincoln's son, Tommy Lee Jones as Thaddeus Stevens, Jared Harris as Ulysses S. Grant and Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln.

The first full trailer will debut Thursday in the first-ever trailer launch via live Google+ session with Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt.

The film's synopsis:

Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

"Lincoln" opens to limited release November 9 and full release November 16.
