Real life 'Star Wars' hover bikes as soon as 2014?

The future is (almost) here. Hover bikes, courtesy of a California-based engineering company, could be on the market in just a few years.

Here's one for the Star Wars and scifi geeks out there: hover bikes straight out of "Return of the Jedi" may become a reality, and way sooner than you think.

A Manhattan Beach, Calif., based company called Aerofex say they've fixed a stability problem that forced engineers to abandon their design back in the 1960's.

Using tandem ducted fans and pilot-controlled mechanical system that relies on human's natural balance.

You know, just like Star Wars.
