TMZ finally found Paul Ryan shirtless

Since Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney chose Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate, the second most common search term applied to the good-looking nominee was "shirtless."

According to Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post, Ryan's investment in the P90X workout regimen propelled interest in seeing what the veep hopeful might look like under his supposedly ill-fitting campaign attire.

TMZ finally acquired a photo of Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan walking shirtless with his wife while on vacation in Oklahoma.

According to the gossip site, the six-year-old photo may not reflect Ryan's current physique--he started his vigorous P90X workout later on.

TMZ clarifies:

In a story about Ryan's devotion to physical fitness, the Los Angeles Times reported that the representative maintained only 6 to 9 percent body fat, and could have been a professional skier.

Ryan is Capitol Hill's P90X champion--he leads some members of the House of Representatives in a workout every morning.

In shirtless presidential history, Barack Obama made tabloid covers back in 2008, when photos surfaced of the then-president-elect walking topless along a Hawaii beach.

President Theodore Roosevelt, seen shirtless below, was also an avid sportsman and proponent of physical exercise.
