Now that London's quirky Olympics party has come and gone, we can all move back down to the Southern Hemisphere, where Rio has debuted the official theme song for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, titled "The Gods of Olympus Visit Rio de Janeiro."

Described as a "samba-funk anthem" by The Hollywood Reporter, the song's lyrics tell the story of the Greek gods, who love Rio so much that they never want to leave.

Popular Brazilian artists, including Zeca Pagodinho, Ed Notta, Pedro Luis and Toni Garrido, perform while the "gods" hang out in various locations around Rio. Hunky Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro ("Love Actually," "300") plays one of the gods, carrying a surfboard along the beach.

Rio's theme song contrasts sharply with Muse's bombastic Olympic anthem for London, "Survival," which featured lyrics like "Vengeance is mine and I won't give in, because I choose to thrive. Yeah we're going to win!"
