Though he's known for standout roles in blockbuster films like "Pulp Fiction," "Jurassic Park" and "The Avengers," American actor Samuel L. Jackson is also making an unlikely name for himself as one of this summer's most rambunctious Olympic commentators.

The unapologetically patriotic star of "Snakes on a Plane" has live tweeted a bevy of events during this summer's Olympic Games, offering his own unique brand of sports commentary on everything from water polo to synchronized diving.

He has a special fondness for water polo, tweeting Monday: "Hey y'all, more Water Polo dopeness!US vs Hungary, HOTTNESS in a shoot out!!"

According to the Los Angeles Times, Jackson, who boasts nearly 1.28 million followers, averaged about four or five tweets a week before the Olympics. He now tweets up to 20 times a day.
