The Opening Ceremonies haven't even begun and the 2012 Summer Olympics have had their first controversy.

Prior to the start of their match against Colombia, the North Korean women's soccer team walked off the field after noticing the scoreboard displayed the South Korean flag accidentally at the start of warm-ups.

According to the New York Daily News, a contingent of North Korean fans in the stadium booed after a loudspeaker apologized for the delay saying, "there is an issue behind the scenes."

The match was delayed for more than an hour.

The London Organizing Committee apologized in a statement saying:

"Today ahead of the women's football match at Hampden Park, the South Korean flag was shown on a big screen video package instead of the North Korean flag. Clearly, that is a mistake, we will apologise (sic) to the team and the National Olympic Committee and steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again."
