Two teaser trailers for Zack Snyder's upcoming "Man of Steel" debuted ahead of "The Dark Knight Rises" in theaters this weekend, with the character's two fathers--from Krypton and Kansas--offering different words of wisdom for Henry Cavill's disheveled and wistful-looking Superman.

Russell Crowe voices the role of Superman's Kryptonian father Jor-El, telling his son that he will serve as a model for humans.

"You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They'll rise behind you. They will stumble. They will fall. In time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders."

Kevin Costner voices the other teaser as Kansas farmer Jonathan Kent, warning his adopted son about the difficult choices ahead.

"One day, you're going to have to make a choice. You'll have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Whoever that man is, good character or bad, is going to change the world."

On the heels of his success with the Batman trilogy, Christopher Nolan produces DC Comics' "Man of Steel," which already looks like it will bear the elegiac existentialism that is his trademark.
