The spectators at San Diego's Big Bay Boom were treated a very epic fireworks finale.

The only problem?

That was it. A technical malfunction caused the entire show to go off at once, giving the audience a spectacular, if truncated, display.

The whole thing only lasted a few seconds, and the crowd was sent home, disappointed, a few minutes later. You can watch the whole thing, from different angles, as put together by NBC San Diego.
