Roundhouse-kick expert and politically conservative actor Chuck Norris has penned an editorial for AmmoLand that suggests Boy Scouts of America board member James Turley is promoting "pro-gay" policies in an attempt to win favor with the Obama administration.

In the article, "Is Obama Creating a Pro-Gay Scouts of America?" Norris blasts Turley's recent announcement that he would work to "seek a change" to the Boy Scouts policy of excluding openly gay Scouts and group leaders, TMZ reported Tuesday.

"Is Turley working on his own initiative, or has the White House prodded him with perks and favors?" asks Norris, who lists connections between Turley and President Obama as evidence that the two are working together to make the Boy Scouts "pro gay."

"Is it a coincidence that Obama was unable to attend the 100th anniversary gala of the Boy Scouts of America in his own backyard (Washington, D.C.) Feb. 9, 2010, because he had to hold his first national news conference?" Norris asks.

Norris goes on to emphasize his own work with the Boy Scouts and hails the organization "as integral a part of American life and culture as hot dogs, baseball and Grandma’s apple pie."

Turley, chairman and CEO of Ernst & Young, said earlier this month that the Boy Scouts organization needs a more "inclusive culture."

"My experience has led me to believe that an inclusive environment is important throughout our society and I am proud to be a leader on this issue," Turley said.
