Bob Costas was in the middle of interviewing a beaming Webb Simpson when, out of nowhere, a man dressed in a funny hat stepped out in front of the cameras and began crowing. Literally.

Security promptly pulled Bird Call Man away from view, but not before he was able to make an impression.

The newest U.S. Open winner had nothing but good humor about the odd event, tweeting a photo of the incident and calling Bird Call Man his new friend. "Enjoy the jail cell, pal," Simpson said as Bird Call Man was being pulled away.

This U.S. Open was quite meme-worthy, as it also spawned "Cigar Guy."
