Dragon headed back to Earth

The first privately operated mission to the International Space Station is coming to an end.

A week after SpaceX's rocket, Dragon, connected to the International Space Station, making history and becoming the first privately operated vehicle to do so, it has begun its return journey to Earth.

It splashed down off the coast of Baja California at 11:42 a.m. Eastern on Thursday.
