The March 14 attack at the Convent of Jesus and Mary School has ignited worries among the country's Christian community. Authorities said a gang of men ransacked the convent church and stole money from the school before the assault. Six attackers were allegedly caught on the church's closed-circuit television. The nun, who is in her 70s, required surgery as a result of her injuries.

Since the December 2012 gang-rape and murder of a medical student, the country's leaders have vowed to address the problems of sexual violence against women. Some say the changes aren't happening quick enough.
