June 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. National Hurricane Center said the remnants of Tropical Storm Calvin could drop up to 20 inches of rain in some parts of southeastern Mexico.
The NHC said Calvin dissipated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. From 5 to 10 inches of rainfall are forecast in the Mexican states of Chiapas, Oaxaca, Guerrero and Veracruz. At least 10 inches of rain has already fallen in the Salina Cruz city in Oaxaca. Up to 6 inches of rain is expected to fall in the states of Tabasco, Morelos, Mexico and Michoacán.
