LONDON, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Police arrested a 19-year-old man Friday in connection to a "suspicious item" found on a London underground train that was later detonated by police, authorities said.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken into custody after being shot with a Taser and detained in north London. Police said he was arrested on "suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism acts." He has not been charged and is being held at a London police station. Under British law, terrorism suspects can be held for up to 14 days with formal charges in serious cases.
