ROME, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- The death toll from a 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Italy rose to at least 250 on Thursday as search and rescuers worked to find more survivors trapped under piles of rubble -- even as more aftershocks rumbled around them.
Italy's Civil Protection Department said at least 368 people were being treated in hospitals with various injuries. The official death toll stood at 250 Thursday afternoon.
