PANTU, Indonesia, March 20 (UPI) -- An army helicopter in Indonesia crashed on Sunday, killing all 13 on-board, including several military officers.
The Indonesian Army helicopter went down at 6:20 p.m. local time near the village of Pattiro Bajo in Poso, Central Sulawesi.
Thirteen ambulances were dispatched to secure and transport the victims' bodies to the Bhayangkara Police Hospital in nearby Pantu.
According to ANTARA News, terrorist groups are known to hide out in the jungles of the Poso mountains.
However, Poso Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Ronny Suseno told reporters the helicopter was likely struck by lightening.
