CAIRO, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The two sons of former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak, jailed for three years on embezzlement charges, were ordered freed Monday by a Cairo court.
Brothers Alaa, 54, and Gamal, 51, Mubarak were convicted alon with their father, in in May, but the Cairo Criminal Court ruled their time spent in temporary administrative detention prior to their trial exceeded the legal limit. They were arrested in 2011 after the uprising which led to their father's overthrow.
