ROME, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- A homeless shelter has opened in Rome as a gift to Pope Francis, according to various reports.
The shelter is called Dono di Misericordia or Gift of Mercy and is owned by the General House of the Jesuits and operated by Mother Teresa's Sisters of Charity religious order. It was inaugurated by the pope's main charity adviser, Monsignor Konrad Krajewski, inspired by the Pope's continuing appeal to help people in need.
