ISLAMABAD, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice met with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday in Islamabad to discuss militant attacks and the future of diplomatic relations.
Talks between Rice and Sharif were focused on "terrorist and militant attacks emanating from Pakistani soil," according to the U.S. Department of State. After the meeting, Sharif's office noted the talks were on matters of mutual interest and the future of U.S.-Pakistan relations.
