PYONGYANG, North Korea, April 19 (UPI) -- According to North Korean state-run media, Kim Jong Un has climbed the country's tallest mountain.

"Climbing Mt Paektu provides precious mental pabulum more powerful than any kind of nuclear weapon," the leader said, according to the Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

Mount Paektu is the 9,002-foot mountain where his father, Kim Jong Il, was allegedly born. However, Kim Jong Il was most likely born in Russia. The media claims Jong Un climbed the mountain to honor his father, who died in 2011.

Recent media reports have also claimed Kim Jong Un learned to drive a car at the age of three.
