AMMAN, Jordan, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- A video posted online by the Islamic State on Wednesday purportedly shows a Japanese hostage arranging a prisoner swap with Jordan by sunset Thursday.

Jordan has agreed to exchange an Iraqi woman, Sajida al-Rishawi, on death row for a Jordanian military pilot, Lt. Moaz al-Kaseasbeh, who was captured by the Islamic State.

The video appears to depict Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, saying that if al-Rishawi "is not ready for exchange for my life at the Turkish border by Thursday sunset," then al-Kaseasbeh "will be killed immediately."

The video refers to sunset in Mosul, Iraq, which is about mid-morning Eastern time.

Al-Rishawi is an al-Qaida operative who was sentenced to death for her involvement in an attack in Jordan that killed 60 people in 2005. She is to be traded for al-Kasasbeh who was shot down and captured in Syria late last year.

"Jordan is ready to release prisoner Sajida al-Rishawi if the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh was released and his life spared," Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani said.

There was no mention by al-Momani of Goto.

A video released Tuesday by the Islamic State warned that Goto and al-Kasasbeh will be executed if Jordan failed to exchange al-Rishawi.

"I only have 24 hours to live... Please don't leave us to die," Goto aid in Tuesday's video. "The ball is now in the Jordanians' court."

Japan has been working with Jordan to help release Goto.
