LONDON, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Prince Andrew personally addressed the sex abuse claims against him at Davos Thursday, reiterating the palace's assertion that the allegations are baseless.

He attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and opened his remarks with a denial of the accusation against him.

"Firstly I think I must, and want, for the record, to refer to events that have taken place in the last few weeks," he said. "I just wish to reiterate and to reaffirm the statements that have already been made on my behalf by Buckingham Palace."

"It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York [Andrew] had any form of sexual contact or relationship" with the woman, the statement read. "Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation."

Prince Andrew is being accused of having a sex with a 17 year old "three times, including one orgy."

The woman, identified in the affidavit as Jane Doe 3, said self-made billionaire Jeffrey Epstein made her have sex with Prince Andrew.

He is the son of Queen Elizabeth II, brother of Prince Charles and fifth in line to the throne.
