GLASGOW, Scotland, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- At least six people were killed and seven others seriously injured when a garbage truck jumped a curb as Christmas shoppers and office workers hurried along the sidewalks in the busy city center.
The garbage truck appeared to hit the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Scotland's second largest city before continuing to George Square. It crashed at the Millennium Hotel on Queen Street in the Glasgow city center, Police Scotland said.
