BARCELONA, Spain, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- A 45-year-old Spanish man was seriously injured Sunday after he jumped into a lion enclosure at Barcelona Zoo.
The man, who was dressed in military garb, willingly entered the enclosure, where three lions attacked him and dragged him into a tunnel.

He was rescued 30 minutes later, when zoo staff and firemen used hoses to push the lions back.
The man was taken to Hospital de la Vall D'Hebron in serious condition.
El Pais identified him as Justo Jose M.P., who was arrested last month for hanging swastika banners over Barcelona's Casa Mila building.
