PARIS, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Hell apparently hath no fury like a French first lady scorned, and Valérie Trierweiler has some choice words about François Hollande in her tell-all book now out in English.

Socialist President Hollande, 60, has ditched his long-time love Trierweiler, 49, for 42-year-old French actress Julie Gayet.

Hollande never officially tied the knot with Trierweiler, though she had been by his side like a first lady since he took office. The two have known each other since Trierweiler was 23, and they became lovers nine years ago, she writes in her book, "Thank You for This Moment."

Hollande was then cheating on the his long-time partner and mother of his four children, Ségolène Royal, who lost the French presidency as a Socialist Party candidate the election before Hollande ran.

Now jiltled, Trierweiler slams Hollande as the "king of doublespeak, ambiguity, and perpetual lies."

She also criticizes the chateau-raised Socialist as having contempt for the poor, and says he disdainfully refers to them as "the toothless."

But most of her gripes, ironically, center on the woman she usurped. She was furious Hollande broke his word to her and supported Royal in a 2012 campaign to be speaker of the National Assembly.

After Hollande backed Royal, Trierweiler backed Royal's foe on Twitter, which unleashed a political hurricane.

That was the beginning of the end for Trierweiler, but she blames Hollande and Royal and their "never-ending games, mixing private and public spheres ... who built the ticking bomb."

The Gayet affair is now causing new problems for Hollande. Private photos of the couple snapped inside the Elysée Palace have been leaked to the press, and five staff members have been hurriedly assigned elsewhere.
