MEXICO CITY, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Mexico's coast Tuesday around 7:40 p.m. local time.
There were no reports of damage or injuries at sea or inland.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake depth was measured at 6.2 miles.
The epicenter was approximately 75 miles west-southwest of El Dorado and 669 miles west-northwest of Mexico City.
USGS describes Mexico as "one of the world's most seismically active regions."
