Heavy rains flood South Korea

In Changwon, a bus was submerged in a flooding river with up to six people on board. One body was recovered from the water while the five others remain missing.

SEOUL, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Heavy rains caused massive flooding in Busan, South Korea, killing at least one person.

About 10 inches of rain fell on the city, causing a school to flood and the destruction of a senior center in a landslide. All of the students at the flooded Yangduk Girls' Middle School were evacuated onto the roof and rescued.

In Changwon, a bus was submerged in a flooding river with up to six people on board. One body was recovered from the water while the five others remain missing.

Yonhap news reported flights have been canceled and several subway stations have been closed.
