TEL AVIV, Israel, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- As a three-day truce between Israel and Hamas came to a close, the Israel Defense Forces tweeted that two rockets fired from Gaza hit southern Israel.

The 72-hour cease-fire, which started Tuesday, was organized through negotiations in Cairo as part of a larger framework for durable peace.
