MONTREAL, June 22 (UPI) -- Police in Quebec arrested three men who escaped from prison earlier this month using a helicopter.

A SWAT team apprehended the men and returned them to Orsainville Detention Centre in Quebec City.

"The prisoners were arrested at 1:30 in the morning in Montreal. The SWAT team made the arrest and those three people will appear in court ... Monday in Quebec City," Quebec police spokesman Sgt. Ronald Mc Innis told CNN.

Yves Denis, 35, Denis Lefebvre, 53, and Serge Pomerleau, 49, escaped from prison June 7 by boarding a helicopter that landed in the jail yard. The pilot of the helicopter wasn't arrested.

Denis and Lefebvre were in jail awaiting trial for a 2010 drug bust. The reason for Pomerleau's imprisonment wasn't released.
