PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, June 6 (UPI) --
Five thousand anti-government demonstrators took to the streets of Port-au-Prince on Thursday, demanding the resignation of President Michel Martelly and new elections be held.
Protesters set fire to tires and barricaded streets in Haiti's capital city.
Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. There were no reports of serious injuries.
Martelly was elected president in 2011.
