PARIS, June 4 (UPI) -- Mehdi Nemmouche, the suspect in the Jewish museum killings in Brussels, said Monday that he refuses to be extradited to Belgium for trial.
Lawyers for the 29-year-old said that their client refuses to leave France and will fight to stay in the country.

Prosecutors say Nemmouche carried out the attack, which killed three people, after returning from Syria where he stayed for a year after spending five years in a French prison.
He has been detained on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and possession of weapons in relation to the attack.
Nemmouche was arrested in Marseilles on Friday.
