The prosecution rested Tuesday in the murder trial of Oscar Pistorius after 3 weeks of testimony.
The prosecution called 21 witnesses to strengthen their case against the sprinter but the strongest evidence seems to be in the text messages the two shared in that Steenkamp said she was "scared" of Pistorius. However, along with the 4 condemning messages were dozens of affectionate notes.

The defense plans to put Pistorius on the stand but it is unclear whether he will be their lead witness. The trial continues Friday and is scheduled to last until mid-May.
