March 21 (UPI) -- The new, attractive attorney general for Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya has gone viral, inspiring anime art depictions from adoring Internet fans.

The blond-haired, blue-eyed 33-year-old gave her first press conference in Russian but that didn't stop the video from going viral worldwide. Her popularity soared further after the website RocketNews24 posted a series of pictures from social media sites.

She's extremely popular in Japan, where anime depictions of the attorney general have flooded the Internet. There are also multiple Facebook fan groups for Poklonskaya. Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed her to the position after the invasion of Crimea.
