Nine people dead in Qatar restaurant blast

DOHA, Qatar, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Nine people died Thursday when a gas cylinder exploded at a restaurant in Doha, Qatar, state-run Qatar Television reported.

At least 32 people were injured, three critically.

The explosion caused the roof of the building to cave in and rubble was scattered up to 165 feet away, Middle East Online reported.

The restaurant was at a mall in the capital, Doha. It wasn't immediately clear if the blast was accidental, the online news service said.
